ORD 212U ORDINANCE NO. 212U
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS
VERDES REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 200U, AND
DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF
11/ WHEREAS, on October 17 , 1985 , the City Council adopted Ordinance No.
200U establishing a moratorium on accepting and/or processing commercial
development applications in Specific Plan Area III, and, on January 21 ,
1986 extended Ordinance No. 200U until December 15 , 1986; and
WHEREAS, after public hearings before the Planning Commission and City
Council, a Specific Plan for Area III was adopted on October 21 , 1986.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the immediate threat to the public health, safety and
welfare from commercial development constructed without the benefit of the
guidelines contained in the Specific Plan for Area III has passed with the
adoption of the Plan after several public hearings.
Section 2: That Ordinance No. 200U is hereby repealed.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED on December 2 , 1986.
