ORD 185 ORDINANCE NO. 185 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING ZONE CHANGE NO. 12 CHANGING THE ZONING FROM COMMERCIAL NEIGHBORHOOD TO RESIDENTIAL MULTI-FAMILY, 8 DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE (RM-8) WHEREAS, Bredero Hawthorne has applied for Zone Change No. 12; and WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing on this matter on July 17, 1984 at which time all interested parties were given an opportu- nity to be heard and present evidence; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 : The City Council has reviewed and considered the contents of Environmental Impact Report No. 22 in reaching its decision on Zone Change No. 12 and that this Zone Change will not result in a significant environmental effect. Section 2: The City Council has reviewed the adjacent land uses, den- sities and the potential impacts on the area and has found that the propos- ed residential land use is consistent with what is existing on surrounding properties. Section 3: The City Council finds that the proposed Zone Change is consistent with the General Plan (Amendment No. 12). Section 4: The City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby approves Zone Change No. 12, and amends the official zoning on the 6.3 acre vacant parcel adjacent to the Golden Cove Shopping Center from Commercial Neighborhood to Residential Multi-Family, 8 dwelling units per acre (RM-8). Section 5: The City Council hereby directs the City Clerk to cause said changes to be made to the Official Zoning Map.
