ORD 177U ORDINANCE NO. 177U
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES EXTENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 162U AND DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES does ordain
as follows:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 162U is hereby extended until
January 4, 1985.
Section 2. The City of Rancho Palos Verdes has recently
annexed a "Eastview Area". The City is currently conducting studies
111/ to determine appropriate zoning for the area. Until such time as these
studies are completed and properties placed in the appropriate zone, a
moratorium is necessary to prohibit development which might be contrary
to said permanent regulations. Ordinance No. 162U placed the entire area
to the most restrictive classification which would likely be established
for any part of the area. If the ordinance is not enacted, the property
could be developed to uses which could cause an immediate threat to the
public health, safety and welfare. This ordinance will extend the
moratorium, will prohibit development contrary to the permanent regulations,
is necessary for the health, safety and general welfare, shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption, and shall expire January 4, 1985.
