AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING ZONE CHANGE NO. 11
WHEREAS, the City has initiated Zone Change No. 11; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing on this matter on
September 7, 1982, at which time all interested parties were given an oppor-
tunity to be heard and present evidence;
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has also reviewed this matter on August
10, 1982, and has recommended approval in Resolution P.C. No. 82-18.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
DOES HEREBY FIND AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The City Council has reviewed and considered the contents of
Environmental Assessment No. 429 Initial Study in reaching its decision on Zone
Change No. 11 and that this zone change will not result in a significant environ-
mental effect. Further, the City. Council does hereby certify that all of the
requirements pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act and the City
of Rancho Palos Verdes have been met,
Section 2: The City Council has reviewed the adjacent land uses, densities,
and the potential impacts on the area,and has found that the proposed residential
land use is consistent with what is existing on neighboring lots.
Section 3: The City Council finds that the proposed zone change is consistent
with the General Plan (Amendment No. 13).
Section 4: The City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby
approves Zone Change No. 11, and amends the official zoning on the southwest
corner of the Ladera Linda site adjacent to 32210 Helm Place to Residential
Single Family, three (3) units per acre (RS-3) .
Section 5: The City Council hereby directs the City Clerk to cause said
changes to be made to the Official Zoning Map.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 21st day of September, 1982
