AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES APPROVING ZONE CHANGE
NO. 10
WHEREAS, the City has initiated Zone Change No. 10 for property
formerly known as the Loma Del Mar School site which is currently zoned
Institutional (I) ; and
WHEREAS, on September 7,1982, the City Council amended the land
use maps of the General Plan- and Coastal Specific Plan to show a designation
of Residential Single Family - One (1) dwelling unit per acre; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has also reviewed this matter on
July 27, 1982, and has recommended approval in Resolution P.C. No. 82-16;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing on this matter
on September 7, 1982, at which time all interested parties were given an
opportunity to be heard and present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The City Council has reviewed and considered the contents
of Environmental Assessment No. 426, the Initial Study and the Negative
Declaration in reaching its decision on Zone Change No. 10 and that this zone
change will not result in a significant environmental effect. Further, the
City Council does hereby-certify that all of the requirements pursuant to the
California Environmental Quality Act and the City of Rancho Palos Verdes have
been met.
Section 2: The City Council has reviewed the adjacent land uses,
densities, and the potential impacts on the area and has found that the zone
change is compatible with uses in the immediate area.
Section 3: The City Council finds that the proposed zone change is
consistent with General Plan Amendment No. 11 and Coastal Specific Plan Amend-
ment No. 2.
Section 4: The City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby
approves Zone Change No. 10, which changes the zoning designation on the
former Loma Del Mar School site to Residential Single Family - One (1) unit
per acre (RS1-RPD) .
Section 5: The City Council hereby directs the City Clerk to cause
said change to be made to the Official Zoning Map.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 21st day of September, 1982.
