AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
AMENDING THE SUBDIVISION. ORDINANCE AND AMENDING
THE RANCHO PALOS VERDES MUNICIPAL CODE
The City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes does ordain as follows:
Section l: 16.08.030.A.3 of the Rancho Palos Verdes Municipal Code is
amended to read:
3. No parcel maps shall be required for lot line adjustments. The
applications for lot line adjustments shall be submitted to the
Environmental Services Department on such forms and with such
attachments as may reasonably be required by that department.
The Director of Planning shall approve lot line adjustments,
providing the lot line adjustment complies to all applicable codes
of the City.
a. In the event an applicant is dissatisified by any action taken
by the Director of Planning, the decision of the Director of
Planning may be appealed to the Planning. Commission within
fifteen (15) days following the date of mailing the notice of
action taken by the Director of Planning to the applicant.
b. In the event an applicant is dissatisfied with the action taken
by the Planning Commission, the decision may be appealed to
the City Council within fifteen (15) days following the date of
the Planning. Commission decision.
Section 2: 16.16.040 of the Rancho Palos Verdes Municipal Code is amended
to read:
Approved or conditionally approved tentative tract maps shall expire
within twenty-four (24) months, unless an extension within that month
period is granted by the City Council. Said extension shall not
exceed twelve (12) months.
Section 3: 16.20.120 of the Rancho Palos Verdes Municipal Code is amended
by adding D. to read:
D. A note shall be placed on the final map that a Geology- Report
has been prepared in conjunction with the subdivision, providing
that the geological soils report has been waived pursuant to
Section 16.20.120.A.
Section 4: 16.20.190..B. of the Rancho Palos Verdes Municipal Code is
amended to read:
B. The City Council upon recommendation of the City Engineer may
release a portion of the security in conjunction with the
acceptance of the performance of the act or work as it progresses
upon application therefor by the subdivider; provided, however,
that no such release shall be for an amount more than seventy-five
percent of the total improvement security given for faithful
performance of the act or work until final completion and
acceptance of the act or work. In no event shall the City
Council authorize a release of the improvement security which
would reduce such security to an amount below that required
to guarantee the completion of the act or work and any other
obligation imposed by this title, the Subdivision Map Act, or
the improvement agreement.
The legislative body may authorize any of its public
officers or employees to authorize release or reduction
of the security in acco rdance with the conditions herein-
above set forth and in accordance with such rules as it
may prescribe.
