ORD 148U ORDINANCE NO. 148 U
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 108U, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE:NOS. 118U,
120U, 123U, 128U, 130U, 131U, 139U, 140U, AND 143U, AND
DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes does hereby ordain as
follows:
Section 1: Section 7 of Ordinance No. 108U, as amended, is revised to read
as follows:
Section 7: That area known as the Klondike Canyon area is hereby
revised in the "Landslide Moratorium" area as outlined in red on the
"Landslide Moratorium Map"., as hereby amended, on file in the office of
the Director of Planning of said City and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2: In order to protect the public health, safety and welfare, it was
necessary for the City of Rancho Palos Verdes to adopt an urgency ordinance establishing
a moratorium on certain permits in that area of the City identified as the "Landslide
Moratorium" area. Addtional geology studies have now been completed, and it is
appropriate to make certain modifications to the ordinance and "Landslide Moratorium
Map". This ordinance effecting said modifications is necessary for the public peace,
safety and welfare and shall take effect immediately upon adoption as an urgency
ordinance.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of March, 1982, on the following
roll call vote:
AYES: DYDA, RYAN, HEIN, SHAW, AND MAYOR BACHARACH
