AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS
VERDES ESTABLISHING A GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION DATE AND RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING
ORDINANCE NO. 144
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The first Tuesday after the first Monday in
November of each odd-numbered year is hereby established as the
date for the general municipal election in the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes.
Section 2 . Those terms of office that would have ex-
pired in April, 1982, shall be extended until no later than the
fourth Tuesday after the general municipal election in 1983 and
those terms of office that would have expired in April, 1984 ,
shall be extended until no later than the fourth Tuesday after
the general municipal election in 1985.
Section 3. This ordinance shall not become operative
until it has been approved by the Board of Supervisors pursuant
to the provisions of Government Code Section 36503.5 (a) .
Section 4 . This Ordinance ratifies and confirms
Ordinance No. 144 adopted December 15 , 1981.
