ORD 079 ORDINANCE NO. 79
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS
VERDES, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR DOG
LICENSING RECIPROCITY AND AMENDING THE RANCHO
PALOS VERDES MUNICIPAL CODE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . Chapter 4 of Article III of the Rancho
Palos Verdes Municipal Code is amended by adding Section 3402
to read :
"3402 . Notwithstanding the provisions of Section
3400 , the Animal Control Ordinance is amended by amending
subsection (e) of Section 407 to read:
" (e) Any dog wearing or having attached to
it a license tag for the current year issued by the County
of Los Angeles or a municipality within the County when the
owner thereof has, within one (1 ) year last past, moved his
principal place of residence from such County or municipality
to the City of Rancho Palos Verdes; provided that such County
or municipality similarly exempts from tag and license
requirements dogs wearing current City license tags which
are owned by persons who have moved from the City of
Rancho Palos Verdes to the unincorporated territory of
the County or to such municipality. ' "
