AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS
VERDES TERMINATING THE MORATORIUM ON CERTAIN
VV V PERMITS AND THE PROCESSING OR APPROVAL OF
TENTATIVE MAPS , FINAL MAPS OR PARCEL MAPS
IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE CITY, AND CERTAIN
RESTRICTIONS ON THE ISSUANCE OF BUILDING AND
V GRADING PERMITS, AND AMENDING THE RANCHO
PALOS VERDES MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 54, entitled "An Ordinance Of
The City Of Rancho Palos Verdes Extending The Moratorium On
Certain Permits And The Processing Or Approval Of Tentative
Maps, Final Maps Or Parcel Maps In Certain Areas And Declaring
Issuance Of Building And Grading Permits In The Remainder Of
The City Subject To Environmental Impact Report Procedures" ,
adopted October 1, 1974 , was adopted to extend the moratorium
on the issuance of building, grading or other permits and on
the processing or approval of tentative maps , final maps and
parcel maps in certain areas of the city, and to extend certain
restrictions on building and grading permits which could result
in a significant effect on the environment, pending completion
of general plan and zoning studies then in process. A general
plan has now been adopted and zoning studies are nearing com-
pletion to the extent that zoning ordinances may be adopted
on July 29 , 1975.
Section 2. Said Ordinance No. 54 shall terminate and
cease to have any force or effect on the effective date of
this ordinance.
Section 3. Nothing herein contained shall in any way
affect any other ordinance or resolution of the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes implementing the California Environmental Quality
Act of 1970 (CEQA) or the State Guidelines For The Implementa-
tion of the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 , and
in particular Resolution No. 74-28 of the City Council of the
City of Rancho Palos Verdes , adopted March 19, 1974 , as amended
by Resolutions No. 74-43 and 75-30 , shall be unaffected by the
III provisions hereof.
