ORD 041 ORDINANCE NO. 41
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
REMOVING CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM THE EXISTING
MORATORIUM ON CERTAIN PERMITS AND MAPS AND
AMENDING ORDINANCES NOS. 16 AND 16U AS AMENDED
BY ORDINANCE NO. 29U OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby finds, determines
and ordains that the continuation of the moratorium uponbuild-
ing, grading, sewer and other permits for new construction and
the processing or approval of tentative maps, final maps or
parcel maps, provided for by Section 3 of Ordinances Nos. 16
and 16U as amended by Ordinance No. 29U of the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes, as to those certain properties and areas herein-
after described, on which construction of improvements is
nearing completion under valid permits issued prior to the
incorporation of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, and is not
required in order to protect the public peace, health, safety
or welfare by reason of the nature, character, condition and
state of development thereof and the nature, character, land
use and condition of development of properties adjacent thereto
and immediately surrounding the same.
Section 2. Said Ordinances Nos. 16 and 16U as
amended by Ordinance No. 29U are hereby amended and the mora-
torium on building, grading, sewer and other permits for new
construction and the processing or approval of tentative maps,
final maps or parcel maps provided for in said Ordinances Nos.
16 and 16U as amended by Ordinance No. 29U is hereby terminated
as to the properties and areas identified as follows:
All that certain real property shown on Tentative
Tract Map for Tract No. 31397, located at 5734 Ravenspur,
consisting of a parcel of land developed with 21 residen-
tial units.
Section 3 . That certain map adopted by and attached
to said Ordinances Nos. 16 and 16U is hereby amended to delete
from the portion of the City outlined in red thereon the proper-
ties and areas described herein and shown on said tentative
maps for Tracts Nos. 31871 and 31397 on file in the office of
the Director of Planning of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes .
Section 4. Except as hereinabove specifically pro-
vided, said Ordinances Nos. 16 and 16U as amended by said Ordi-
nance No. 29U shall remain in full force and effect, specifi-
cally including without limitation the provisions thereof pro-
hibiting the issuance of building, grading, sewer and other
permits for new construction and the processing or approval
of tentative maps, final maps or parcel maps.
