AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
ADOPTING BY REFERENCE, PURSUANT TO SECTION 50022. 2
OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE, ORDINANCE NO. 1549 OF THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PRO-
HIBITING INTERFERENCE WITH, DAMAGE TO, DESTRUCTION
OR USE OF ANY FLOOD CONTROL, STORM DRAIN OR WATER
CONSERVATION STRUCTURE, FACILITY, APPURTENANCES OR
ANY OTHER PROPERTY OWNED, CONSTRUCTED, MAINTAINED
OR CONTROLLED BY THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD
CONTROL DISTRICT IN THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
WITHOUT A PERMIT THEREFOR, AND PROHIBITING THE
DUMPING OF ANY RUBBISH OR THE PLACING OF ANY
OBSTRUCTION IN THE STREAMBED OR ON THE BANK OF
ANY RIVER, STREAM, WASH, ARROYO OR FLOOD CONTROL
CHANNEL, RESERVOIR, DEBRIS BASIN OR SPREADING
GROUND IN THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES" AND AMENDING
THE RANCHO PALOS VERDES MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Rancho Palos Verdes Municipal Code
is hereby amended by adding Chapter 8 to Article III to read:
"CHAPTER 8 - FLOOD CONTROL CHANNEL
"3800. Interference with Flood Control Channel
Ordinance. Except as hereinafter provided, Ordinance
No. 1549 of the County of Los Angeles, as amended to
and in effect on June 1, 1974, is hereby adopted by
reference as an ordinance of the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes. Said Ordinance shall constitute and
may be referred to as the Interference with Flood
Control Channel Ordinance of the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes.
"Three (3) copies of said Ordinance No. 1549
of the County of Los Angeles, California, as so
amended, have been deposited with the office of the
City Clerk of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes and
shall be at all times maintained by said Clerk for
use and examination by the public. "
