ORD 023 ORDINANCE NO. 23
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
REMOVING CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM THE EXISTING
MORATORIUM ON BUILDING AND GRADING AND AMENDING
ORDINANCES NO. 16 and NO. 16U OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO PALOS VERDES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby finds , deter-
mines and ordains that the continuation of the moratorium
upon building and grading provided for by Section 3 of Ordi-
nances No. 16 and No. 16U of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes,
as to that certain property and area outlined in blue on the
map hereto attached as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof,
is not required in order to protect the public peace, health,
safety or welfare by reason of the nature, character, condi-
tion and state of development thereof and the nature, char-
acter, land use and condition of development of properties
adjacent thereto and immediately surrounding the same.
Section 2 . The City Council hereby finds, deter-
mines and ordains that the continuation of the moratorium
upon building and grading provided for by Section 3 of Ordi-
nances No. 16 and No. 16U of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes,
as to that certain property and area outlined in blue on the
map hereto attached as Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof,
is not required in order to protect the public peace, health,
safety or welfare by reason of the nature, character, condi-
tion and state of development thereof and the nature, char-
acter, land use and condition of development of properties
adjacent thereto and immediately surrounding the same .
Section 3. Said Ordinances No. 16 and No. 16U are
hereby amended and the moratorium on building and grading
provided for in said Ordinances No. 16 and No. 16U is hereby
terminated as to the property and areas only which are delin-
eated in blue and set forth on each of said maps hereto
attached as Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B" , and that certain
map adopted by and attached to said Ordinances No. 16 and
No. 16U is hereby amended to delete from the portion of the
City outlined in red thereon the properties and areas out-
lined in blue on Exhibits "A" and "B" which are attached to
this ordinance.
Section 4 . Except as hereinabove specifically pro-
vided, said Ordinances No. 16 and No. 16U shall remain in
full force and effect, specifically including without limita-
tion the provisions thereof prohibiting the issuance of build-
ing or grading permits .
