A RESOLUTION OF TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DESIGNATING THE COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES AS ITS AGENT FOR SERVICE OP
PROCESS FOR ACTIONS UNDER THE REVENUE AND
TAXATION CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF TUUE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby designates the
County of Los Angeles to receive service of process for any
and all actions brought against the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
under Article 2, Chapter 5, Part 9, Division 1 of the California
Revenue and Taxation Code.
Section 2. The County of Los Angeles will be entitled
to be paid by the city of Rancho Palos Verdes for the costs
resulting from said designation as provided in the letter sent
to the City on May 10, 1982, a copy of which is attached hereto
as Exhibit A. These costs will be prorated in the event more
than one City is represented by the County in a single action,
and the City will be notified prior to an increase in hourly
rates charged by the County.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to send
a certifie copy o this resolution to the Los Angeles County
Clerk.
