RESOLUTION NO. 83 -72
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO PALOS VERDES GRANTING CONSENT AND JURISDICTION
TO THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES IN THE MATTER OF COUNTY
LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1865 AND COUNTY
LIGHTING DISTRICT LLA -1 CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
ZONE PETITION NO. 324 -113
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of
commence proceedings under Division 7

WHEREAS, the proposed annexation will

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes, as follows:
Section 1: That the public interest, convenience and necessity require
the maintenance of a street lighting system located within said territory as
shown on the maps of the annexation to the County Lighting Maintenance District
No. 1865 and County Lighting District LLA -1 on file in the office of the Road
Commissioner.

Section 2: That this City Council hereby consents to the annexation
of said territory, as shown on the attached map and /or described in the attached
legal description, included within the boundaries of said annexation, and lying
within the boundary of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
Section 3: That this City Council hereby finds and determines that
the land included within the boundary of the proposed annexation lying within
the boundary of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, will be benefited by the said
proposed osed annexations, and hereby consents to the inclusion of said lands within
the proposed annexation and to the assessment thereof.
Section 4: That the consent of this City is hereby given to the commence-
ment of the proceedings for said annexation to the County Lighting Maintenance
District No. 1865 and County Lighting District LLA -1 by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Los Angeles, and to the exercise of exclusive jurisdiction of
said Board of Supervisors over all proceedings necessary thereto for the purpose
of consummating the same, all in accordance with the provisions of Divisions 7
and 15 of the Streets and Highways Code.
Section 5: That the Clerk of the City Council is hereby directed to
certif y and deliver two copies of this resolution to the Road Commissioner of
the County of Los Angeles.
Section 6: That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
resolution b y the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes and shall
cause the same to be posted in three (3) conspicuous places in the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes, and it shall thereupon take effect.
